2014 Speedsport Coverage – Audio and More!

We are set up at the 2014 Radical Speedsport Car Show and will be cutting audio throughout the weekend with the various drivers that stop by our booth. While most of the audio will be released following the show, we do have some of the clips here for you to listen to.

We will update this each morning with an audio clip or two from the show. The best way to live the show is to be here. All show information can be found at www.speedsporteast.com.

Our show coverage is presented by Speedway Miramichi, St Louis Bar and Grill (Mountain Road, Moncton) and the Atlantic Motel in Berry Mills.

Friday morning – Cole Tanner.

Saturday morning – Mackenzie and Starks

Show Notes:

While we can’t get every driver on the mic on the weekend, we can give you some silly season notes for the ones we don’t get on the horn this weekend – here are a few:

NAPA Sportsman Series driver Darren Price was by our booth on Friday. Darren is going to once again run the NAPA Sportsman Series at Riverside while also getting the four races in Sydney in. It was a breakout year for the #29 car last year, which included a second place run at Scotia Speedworld for the Dartmouth Dodge 100.

Darren Sherwood sold his Legend car to Newfoundland and is without his own ride, but that doesn’t mean he’s out of the woods. Darren mentioned yesterday you may see him at the Petty events and the IWK 250 weekend with a car from the Gary Dunning stable. Dunning acquired a new car and with two now at the Charlottetown shop, Sherwood may be the one tapped to drive the second car.

Doug Jagoe’s car is for sale but he said with the grass getting greener, if it doesn’t sell, he may be back behind the wheel of it. If it doesn’t sell, expect to see the #75 back out at the track in Miramichi in 2014.

Dana Duncan was at the show with Kyle Orr Friday night. Duncan plans on running a few races, number to be determined, in a Sportsman car at Petty Raceway. Dana says that Zoey is doing better, they just got back to Saint John in the last week after spending three weeks or so in Halifax. The first time she was discharged from the IWK, she began to get headaches again and they discovered fluid forming. They drained the fluid in her head and within hours her spirits changed. The treatment that she is going through now has a high success rate according to the doctors and the community support has been unreal. The folks at Aspen Dental even sent a package of Danica Patrick gear to Zoey and Miss Patrick herself has been contacted. You can continue to donate towards her road to recovery on their GoFundMe account here.

Rax Cox Jr. is a fan of Miss Castrol and St. Louis Bar and Grill wings. I can’t blame him one bit.
