Speedworld Loses Molson Night To Rain

Mother Nature has proved all tracks in this region are not bulletproof.

After racing their first three events on schedule, the forecast of rain and showers throughout the day on Friday and into the evening have forced the track to cancel the scheduled Molson Night. The June 14th event does not have a rain date.

Scotia Speedworld joins Petty Raceway, Speedway 660, Oyster Bed Speedway and Speedway Miramichi to lose at least one event this season due to rain.

The next racing at the track will be when Speedworld tackles their first double header weekend of the season on June 21st and 22nd. June 21st sees four divisions (Strictly Hydraulics Legends, Hydraulics Plus Bandoleros, ACE Lumbermart Thunder and Lightning) in action as a part of AMP Energy Night. Saturday will see Round Three of the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour go green with the Lockhart Truck Center 150, along with house divisions in the Coors Light Trucks and Dartmouth Dodge Sportsman, who will contest a 50 lap feature. Friday’s action goes green at 7pm with Saturday’s card beginning at 5:10pm for Atlantic Tiltload Time Trials and 6pm for qualifying.
