Halifax, NS — Scotia Speedworld is pleased to announce two key leadership updates to its competition team ahead of the 2026 racing season.

Kyle Gammon has been appointed Race Director for the Bay Equipment Rentals Weekly Racing Series. Gammon brings over two decades of experience at Scotia Speedworld, having competed at the track for 20 years before joining the officiating team. Over the past two seasons, he has been a valuable member of the pit area staff, earning the respect of competitors and officials alike. His deep understanding of the sport and strong communication skills position him well to lead race operations.

Chris LeBarron will step into the role of Technical Director. With 20 years of racing experience across Ontario and Nova Scotia, LeBarron offers a wealth of technical knowledge and hands-on expertise. He joined the Scotia Speedworld team three years ago as the Sportsman Technical Official and will continue in that role while also providing leadership and support to the broader technical team.

“These appointments reflect the strength and depth of our team,” said Jason Foster, General Manager of Scotia Speedworld. “Both Kyle and Chris have earned this opportunity through their experience, dedication, and commitment to fair and competitive racing. We’re confident they will play key roles in delivering a strong and successful 2026 season.”

The Bay Equipment Rentals Weekly Racing Series Season returns May 16th, continuing Scotia Speedworld’s tradition of delivering exciting, family-friendly racing throughout the summer.
