Annual Halloween Spooktacular Event Set for Speedway Miramichi Saturday

Mini Stock, Street Stock events lead Demolition card Saturday afternoon

The final major motorsports event in New Brunswick for the 2015 season is set for Miramichi, New Brunswick on Saturday, October 17th.

The annual Halloween Spooktacular event will once again serve as the final event of the year at Speedway Miramichi and will carry events for both stock car and demolition fans. Stock car racing in both Mini Stock and Street Stock classes begins with qualifying at 4pm, followed by features and then the final Demolition card of the year. The final race will be a “Smash to Pass” with the final six competitors going at it in an all-out finale.

The program will also feature a new “Win, Lose or Draw” Demolition race, in which the passenger in the Demolition car will draw a family friendly design on a pumpkin over the ten lap event. The artist with the best looking pumpkin according to the fans will receive a $50 prize.

Speedway Miramichi announcer Mike Skerry and flagman Jay Skerry will also go one-on-one in a Father vs Son Grudge race as a part of the final race of the season.

Grandstand admission for adults is $15, $10 for youth aged eight to 17 with children seven and under admitted free. Pit admission is $20.

The race day format, stock car pay structure and point standings for both Demolition and Stock Car divisions are are below. A reminder that laps and payouts for both stock car divisions are based on car counts.
