Reminder: Pierce Racing Auction Friday, May 3rd

April 23rd – In a world where sponsorship dollars have become few and far between for some race teams, Shawn Pierce and Pierce Racing are taking matters into their own hands by hosting a Fundraising Auction and Dance on May 3rd at the Michelin Social and Athletic Club in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia.

“After other guys doing events like this and doing pretty good, I said to myself, why not?” said Pierce of the fundraiser. The auction begins at 7:30pm on May 3rd with a dance to follow the auction. Tickets to the events are $5 with proceeds go to putting the #21 Pierce Racing Pro Stock on the track full time on the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour in 2013.

It has been a rocky start to the season for the team. Shawn’s father, and Maritime racing legend, Dave Pierce lost his garage to a fire on April 8th. While the race car and about half of the team’s tools were at Shawn’s as they prepared for the season, the team lost valuable parts and tools in the blaze. A portion of the proceeds will also go to help rebuilding the garage.
