TCM Onsite Heavy Duty Rust Control Most Popular Driver Voting Format:
Round One – All of the 101 nominated drivers are placed on the same ballot. After Round One of voting, the field will be trimmed to the top 26 drivers (one driver added due to tie for 25th) for the second round of voting. Voting closes for Round One on Thursday, November 7th at 8pm Atlantic. The top 25 will be then placed into the Round Two Ballot, scheduled to start on Friday, November 8th.
BACK FOR 2024 – for the first round only, because there are so many drivers on the ballot, you can select up to three drivers in the first round. You can select one if you wish but the option is open to select up to three from the list. This choice will be in play for the first round only. Team up with other drivers on your campaigns, get your fans and theirs to help out to get to the second round!
Round Two will narrow the field from 25 drivers to 10 drivers. The final round will choose the overall winner of the award. Round Two voting closes Sunday, November 17th at 8pm Atlantic with voting scheduled to begin for the final round on November 26th.
Please note, these dates are tentative and are subject to change without notice.
13th Annual Conway Customz Inc. Best Looking Car Award
The nominees for this years award were placed into a Facebook photo album on our Facebook page. A panel of 10 from outside the region whom are seeing the cars for the first time, had the chance to pick their favorite five cars, in no particular order. Each car they selected received one panel vote. The five cars that received the most panel votes are placed into the Fan Vote portion of the award.
Returning for this year – the top five “Late Models” and five “Support Class” cars have been placed in separate votes for their chance to win the award and add their names to the trophy!
As in previous years, the fan vote is worth 50% of scoring for this award. The panel’s final overall tally will count for the other half. The car which scores the most points over the two halves will win the award. The tiebreaker is the score from the panel vote.
SCORING EXPLANATION – Breakout Performer of the Year/Rookie of the Year Award
Our panel was presented with a list of potential finalists for both the Breakout Performer and Rookie of the Year Awards. Our seven panelists will rank the finalists on their ballot. Their top picks of the finalists each received five points, second pick received four points, third received three, fourth got two points and their last pick got one point.
The fan vote winner will be awarded ten points, second on the fan vote will receive eight points, third will get six and so on with sixth place on back receiving zero from the fan vote. The fan vote essentially carries about 25% weight on the overall ballot.
A perfect score is 45 points (five from each panellist plus ten from the fans).
Ties are broken by the amount of top votes they received, followed by the amount of panel ballots a driver appeared on. Should drivers still be tied following that, the combined panel score will determine a winner.
