(February 20, 2023) — NASCAR announced that the third race of the 2024 NASCAR Canada Series season will take place at Eastbound International Speedway in Avondale, NL.  The annual PRO•LINE 250 presented by Newfoundland and Labrador Chevrolet Dealers will be held on Saturday, June 22 and televised by TSN, FloRacing, and RDS.

“We couldn’t be more excited for Atlantic Lottery’s PRO•LINE to return as the title partner of the NASCAR Canada Series race at Eastbound International Speedway for the third consecutive year,” said Patrick Daigle, Atlantic Lottery President and CEO. “We are always proud to showcase our incredible region to an international audience and to help celebrate world-class events such as this, right here at home.”

The annual PRO•LINE 250 presented by Newfoundland and Labrador Chevrolet Dealers will be 250 laps on Eastbound’s 3/8-mile oval track, which has shown in the last two years a marathon of action-packed racing.  Over 20 top NASCAR drivers such as DJ Kennington and Andrew Ranger will compete for championship points, purse money, and the PRO•LINE 250 trophy.

The 2024 event will be the culmination of a series of races that will celebrate Eastbound International Speedway’s 10th Anniversary.  Included in the festivities will be a Fan Zone and additional races from all four divisions of Eastbound Speedway’s local weekly series.

Last year, 5 local drivers entered the main event.  Sara Thorne of Chance Cove, NL finished 11th and was the only female driver in the field and scored the highest finishing position.  Drivers Josh Collins, Brandon McFarlane, Wayne Hanlon Jr, and Owen Groves were also featured and showed great potential in the 2023 PRO•LINE 250.

Eastbound International Speedway has been a NASCAR-sanctioned Home Track since 2016 and has hosted the NASCAR International touring series since 2022.  The PRO•LINE 250 presented by Newfoundland and Labrador Chevrolet Dealers is a highlight tour stop in the 2024 season that features 13 races in six provinces of Canada.
