Race fans are in for some extra excitement this weekend at Speedway 660. For one night only, Street Stock and Sharp Shooter drivers will run fifty lap features. It all starts at 6:30PM on Saturday night.

“The Re/Max Pro Stocks run a 50 lap feature every week, but this week the DMR Auto Sales Street Stocks and Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooter will also go fifty” said Speedway 660’s Max Roy. “It’s a chance for these two divisions to showcase their talent and give the fans a lot more racing for their money.”

Ticket prices for Saturday’s event are the same as a regular weekly show. Adult ticket prices are $14; Youth tickets, for kids between eight and 16, are $10 and; Family Passes for two adults and two youths are $38. Admission is always free for fans seven and under.

“Our Sharp Shooter division has Speedway 660’s highest car count and the drivers, who normally run 15 lap features in their little four cylinder, front-wheel drive cars, can’t wait to mix it up for 50 laps” said Roy. “The Street Stock drivers, who usually run 30 lap features, are also anxious to show our fans what they can do in 50 laps.”

Fans will also see a 50 lap feature in the Re/Max Pro Stock Division, while the Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman drivers will run 40 laps and the West Wood Estates Bandoleros will go 15 laps. It promises to be another exciting night of action in the Geary Woods.

There is no rain date for this event. If the weather is unsettled on Saturday morning fans and race teams should call the race line at 506-454-7223 or visit www.speedway660.com for race day status updates.

Coming up on Saturday, July 4th, the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour will make its only trip of the season to the Geary Woods. The tour has already had several great races in 2015 and Shawn Turple will be out to win at Speedway 660 for the second year in a row.

Speedway 660 is one of Canada’s premier stock car racing facilities. Located in New Brunswick’s Fredericton region, it attracts race teams and fans from the Maritimes, New England and Quebec. The Speedway 660 racing season runs from mid May until Labour Day Weekend. SpeedWeekend 2015, one of the most prestigious short track events in eastern North America, wraps up Speedway 660’s racing season.
