Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour Heads to Petty Raceway for the Linde 100

(Halifax, NS, June 24, 2015) The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour is headed to Petty International Raceway this Saturday for the Linde 100. The 100-lap stock car event marks round five of 12 for the popular regional series. Approximately 20 teams from across the Maritimes are expected for Saturday’s event. Qualifying for the Linde 100 will take place at 5:10 PM with Atlantic Tiltload Time Trials, feature racing is slated for 6:00 PM. Tickets for the Linde 100 will be available at the gate on race day.
Donald Chisholm (Antigonish, NS) took over the championship point lead following last weekend’s Nova Truck Centres 150 at Scotia Speedworld. Dylan Blenkhorn (Truro) slips to second, seven points behind Chisholm. Darren MacKinnon (Charlottetown, PE) continues to have strong finishes and climbs to third. Last week’s first-time winner Cole Butcher (Porter’s Lake) sits fourth with Shawn Turple (Enfield, NS) completing the top five in standings.
New Brunswick drivers expected to compete in the Linde 100 include reigning Exide Batteries Rookie of the Year Sarah McKay (Quispamsis, NB) and 2012 rookie champ Steve Halpin (Saint John, NB). Ken MacKenzie Sr. (Salisbury), Tim Rodgers (Upper Coverdale) and Michael Kyle (Sussex) are also slated to be in the field.
CMax Street Stocks, Mister Transmission Mini Stocks and the Leisure Days RV Bandoleros will all race on the undercard prior to the Linde 100.
Admission for the Linde 100 is $25.00 for adults, $10.00 for youth (8-18 years old); pit admission is $30.00. Children 7 and under are admitted for free.
