Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame Announces Class of 2015 Inductees

PETITCODIAC, NB (June 24, 2015) – The Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame (MMHF) is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its annual Induction Ceremony this year and in so doing will induct 10 new inductees to the hallowed hall on October 17 when, for the first time ever, the event will be held in Nova Scotia.
The new members include an eclectic array of members of the Maritime motorsports community who will see their accomplishments officially celebrated and acknowledged by their induction.
The Class of 2015 includes:
From Nova Scotia:
Stan Dicks (Sydney) – Competitor, Promoter/ Stock Car Racing
Michael ‘Mike’ MacKenzie (Dartmouth) – Competitor/ Stock Car Racing
Pat & Linda Neal (Fall River) – Competitor/ Bikes, Go Karts, Drag Racing
George Sheppard (New Glasgow) – Builder/ Sports Car
Classic Chevy Club of Nova Scotia (Lower Sackville) – Club
From New Brunswick:
Norman Keirstead (Moncton) – Competitor/ Drag Racing
Steven Patriquin – (Calgary, AB) – Competitor/ Motorcycle
Richard Wood (Moncton) – Competitor/ Rally, Solo
From Prince Edward Island:
Barrie Poole (Chatham, ON) – Competitor/ Drag Racing
Wade MacKinnon (Milton) – Competitor/ Stock Car Racing
The 10th annual Induction Ceremony will be held at the Holiday Inn Harbourview in Dartmouth. Tickets are $80 per person and include dinner along with the ceremony. A limited number of tickets are available and a limited number of rooms are being held at the Holiday Inn Harbourfront. Tickets need to be purchased by October 1 and rooms reserved no later than September 17 – both dates are pending availability. With this being a special 10th anniversary celebration a capacity crowd is expected so those who plan to attend are encouraged to confirm tickets and rooms early so they are not disappointed.
