#PettyFanChoice Awards Continue With Mister Transmission Mini Stocks

After the Leisure Days/CRC RV Bandoleros had the spotlight, the #PettyFanChoice Awards roll on this week with the Mister Transmission Mini Stock division.

The division saw eight point races this season over seven weekends, with nine drivers competing in half or more of those races to make themselves eligible for the Most Popular Driver and Best Looking Car Awards for the class. The championship in the class was won by Shubencadie, Nova Scotia’s J.R. Lawson, who also took home the NB Big Dawg Challenge between Petty Raceway and Speedway Miramichi.

For those keeping score, Petty International Raceway’s Mini Stock class is the only point paying Four Cylinder class in the Maritimes that saw participation from all three Maritime provinces. A total of 29 cars took part in at least one of the eight races in 2014.

In 2013, Patricia Taylor ran away and hid in the #PettyFanChoice Most Popular Driver Award voting while Mike Weagle took home the Best Looking Car Award. Taylor is back to defend her crown, while Weagle did not meet minimum attendance requirements to make the 2014 ballot.

Voting runs until December 15th at Noon Atlantic, when the Street Stocks will take over the #PettyFanChoice stage.
