Reminder – Dave Mutch Fundraiser Saturday Night in Charlottetown
The fundraiser for Dave Mutch goes on Saturday, October 18th from 7pm to 1am at the Murphy’s Community Center, 200 Richmond Street in Charlottetown, and there is a little something “4” everyone that attends!
The event, which has been organized to raise money for Mutch, the owner of Wendell Taylor’s Garage and the #91 Pro Stock car driven by Dylan Gosbee, who has been diagnosed with amyloidosis, features a benefit dance with live music from MacBeth, and an auction, which includes autographed items from Kevin Harvick’s #4 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race team, some which are pictured. Not pictured includes a hat from victory lane after Harvick’s win one week ago at the Bank of America 500 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, locking him and his team into the next round of the Chase for the Sprint Cup.
As an added fundraiser, the team is raffling off a $1000 Gas Card. Tickets are $5 each or 3/$10 and are available by messaging Cynthia Livingston on Facebook or picking them up at the benefit on Saturday night.
For those that cannot make it to the fundraiser, a GoFundMe account has been set up for those to donate towards Mutch’s expenses occurred while battling amyloidosis. You can click here to contribute.
Dave’s story is attached below. The Guardian has also done a story on Dave, which can be found at this link. For more information, contact Cynthia Livingston on Facebook, or find Tammy Paynter MacLeod’s info below.

Dave’s story
Dave is the oldest son of Charlie and Alma Mutch. He lives in Mount Herbert with his wife, Jeni (Young), and their sons Luke (age 9) and Jack (age 4).
Dave is a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, nephew and friend, who was diagnosed in July with multiple myeloma and amyloidosis, a rare, life-threatening illness which has attacked his heart. He has undergone treatment in Halifax, and is currently receiving treatment at the QEH. He will continue to be seen in Halifax and will also require trips to an amyloidosis specialist in Toronto. Dave’s spirits remain high, and he’s a joy to be around, lighting up every room he enters with his ever-present sense of humour and infectious grin.
Dave is the owner of Wendell Taylor’s Garage, and he works closely with his 10 devoted employees. He is very passionate about stock car racing and is involved with the Pro Stock tour throughout the Maritimes. He is a very loyal friend who enjoys hosting get-togethers, as well as cooking for his family and friends. Dave is also an active member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Stratford.
Dave is well known for his kindness and generosity to others, and now he is the one in need of help.
