Sportsman Firecracker 150 and Bandolero Blast 30 at Speedway 660 Saturday

The final month of the 2014 short-track racing season gets off to a thunderous start at Speedway 660 this Saturday evening. The Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman Firecracker 150 and the Westwood Estate Apartments 30 lap Bando Blast highlight action in the Geary Woods. Race fans will also be treated to racing in the DMR Auto Sales & Service Street Stock and Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooter Divisions.
“After our long holiday weekend break, everyone is all geared up for the final month of racing and we’ll kick it off in a big way this Saturday evening” said Speedway 660’s Max Roy. “We are proud to feature the fastest kids in Atlantic Canada in the Bando Blast on the same night as our region’s top Sportsman drivers take the green flag in the Firecracker 150.”
Street Stock and Sharp Shooter drivers will also be part of Saturday night’s explosive race card. It starts an intense month of racing at Speedway 660 that also includes Fan Appreciation Night, the Night of Champions and SpeedWeekend 2014.
“It’ll be an awesome month of racing that will feature our big night for fans, the crowning of our champions and rookies of the year and SpeedWeekend, the number one racing event in our region” said Roy. “We are thrilled to get it all started this weekend with the Firecracker 150 and Bando Blast as we begin our biggest month of racing.”
Adult ticket prices for this weekend’s event are $20; Youth tickets, for kids between 8 and 15 are $15; the family Pass for two adults and two youths is $65 and; admission is free for Speedway 660’s youngest race fans, seven and under. Pit passes for this event are $2.
