Tim Hortons at the Airport Picks Up Rookie of the Year for Speedworld Weekly Series

(Halifax, NS. July 22, 2014) Scotia Speedworld is excited to announce that Tim Horton’s at the Airport has come on board to sponsor the Rookies of the Year for Scotia Speedworld’s Weekly Racing Series. Each season drivers compete to win their division championship and for those who qualify, Rookie of the Year honours. Tim Horton’s at the Airport will sponsor the Rookie of the Year award in all six Weekly Racing Series divisions. A cash award (with the exception of Bandoleros) and trophy will be presented to the winning rookie in each class at the year-end awards banquet compliments of Tim Horton’s at the Airport.

They are a well-recognized company that is active in the community and we are excited to partner with them.” Said Ken Cunning, General Manager of Scotia Speedworld. “Race tracks are like rinks, soccer fields and ball fields; you see a lot of Tim Horton’s products. Now you will see their name on all of the cars competing at Scotia Speedworld.”

Scotia Speedworld’s Weekly Racing Series is in action every Friday evening at 7:00pm. This week the Dartmouth Dodge Sportsman will take centre stage for the 20th running of the annual Shriner’s Classic.

About Scotia Speedworld: Scotia Speedworld (SSW) is a 3/10-mile asphalt oval racing facility. SSW is the only track in Nova Scotia to host a weekly racing series, which runs May through September and features six different classes of racecars.
