Tropical Storm Arthur Blows 660 Pro Stock Tour Feature to July 12th

Due to the impending forecast of Tropical Storm Arthur, officials with Speedway 660 and the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour have postponed this weekend’s 100-lap feature at Speedway 660 for the series to Saturday, July 12th at 7pm.
Full event information will be available in the coming days.
The decision was made based on the forecast of high winds and rain for the area. The high winds could force the closure of the Confederation Bridge, Tantramar Marsh and/or other portions of the Trans Canada Highway, making traveling to the track tough for teams and fans, not only on Saturday but on Sunday as well. Add in a forecast of upwards of 100mms of rain for the Fredericton area, the grounds at the track would likely be saturated for Sunday, which was set aside for a rain date.
“Hurricanes and tropical storms are unusual experiences for us and are much more complex than a regular rain event. There is potential for serious damage to infrastructure and property,” said Ken Cunning in an email to teams Friday morning.
