Speedway 660 is all set to host one of the season’s biggest Sportsman races in the Maritimes. The Martin’s Home Heating 100 pays $3000 to win and is expected to be hotly contested by our region’s best Sportsman teams. Bonus prize money has also been added to the purse for drivers finishing 2nd through 10th.

“We believe strongly in Sportsman racing and have added extra money to the purse which should encourage lots of drivers to make the trip to Geary this weekend” said Richard Martin, one of Speedway 660’s top marketing partners. “The Martin’s Home Heating 100 has always provided the great Speedway 660 fans with an incredible night of racing and hopefully increasing the purse will bring out more race teams and make the event even more exciting.”

Brent Roy, Matt and Andrew Rodgers, Billy Sommerville and George Jamieson are all having a great season and will be contenders for the win. Dawson MacIntee, Alexandra O’Blenis and Drew Greenlaw, who all moved up from Bandolero to Sportsman this season, are ready to prove they can have good runs in a big race. And there are sure to be some out of towners headed to Speedway 660 to make a run for the big money.

“The competition will be tough for sure, we’ve got a good mix of veterans and rookies who run with us every week and the $3000 to win is bound to attract other top teams from around the region” said Speedway 660’s Max Roy. “Sportsman racing is always exciting and on behalf of all of the race teams and our fans, I want to thank Richard and Anne Martin for their continued support of the Speedway 660 brand of racing.”

The Westwood Estate Apartments Bandolero, Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooter, DMR Auto Sales & Service Street Stock and Re/Max Group Four Realty Pro Stock Divisions are also on the schedule this weekend.
