Tim’s Corner Motorsports – May Coverage Schedule

While some full schedules have yet to be released for the 2014 season, Tim’s Corner Motorsports has pieced together our schedule for the month of May, which includes seven race events and one practice day, making this the busiest month of May in our three year existence.

Four of those seven race events will take place in the province of New Brunswick, taking us to opening events at Geary’s Speedway 660 and River Glade’s Petty International Raceway. We will also be taking in season opening events at Enfield, Nova Scotia’s Scotia Speedworld and Oyster Bed Bridge, Prince Edward Island’s Oyster Bed Speedway.

Speedway 660 has the honor of opening the season on Saturday, May 10th and Sunday, May 11th with the Riverview Ford Lincoln Season Opener in the Geary woods. May 10th will be set aside as a pre-tech and practice day, while the 2014 season at Speedway 660 officially goes green on May 11th at 2pm.

One of the busiest weekends of the season will be the next weekend, May 17th to 19th. The Victoria Day weekend will see Tim’s Corner Motorsports visit three tracks in the region in three days, weather permitting of course. Weather wasn’t a problem last season though when Opening Weekend presented by MacKinnon’s Trucking went off without a hitch!

We begin on Saturday, May 17th when Petty International Raceway opens for their first event of the season with a 4pm start. Five divisions are expected to highlight the card with Sportsman, Pro Stock, Four Cylinders, Street Stocks and Bandoleros taking to the high banks. Sunday, May 18th will see regular point racing at Speedway 660 with a 2pm start as Race Two of their 2014 season will take place. We have also confirmed that Oyster Bed Speedway will be opening on their traditional Monday, May 19th date with the first point card of the season for their four divisions (Modified, Street Stock, Outlaw and Four Fun) along with a demolition event.

Scotia Speedworld takes centre stage on May 24th and 25th with their massive opening weekend. On Saturday, May 24th, it’s touring day as the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour and the Maritime League of Legends Tour open their seasons at 4pm, while the Weekly Racing Series opens on six fronts the next day, Sunday, May 25th at 2pm.

May concludes with a return trip to Petty International Raceway on Saturday, May 31st for the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour’s 100 lap event. A non-point Sportsman feature, Street Stock and Mini Stock event will round out the card and the month of May.

Our season begins April 11th to 13th at the Moncton Coliseum at the 40th Annual Castrol Radical Speed Sport in Moncton, NB. The show will showcase the 50th Anniversary of the Mustang. TCM will be located in the Race World Exhibit at the show. For more information, check out SpeedSportEast.com.

We are still waiting on releases of schedules from Cape Breton Miners Memorial Speedway, Oyster Bed Speedway and Speedway Miramichi to confirm our complete 2014 schedule. Stay tuned for our complete schedule of where we’ll be in 2014 and our Master Schedule of all events for the upcoming season.
