CENTRE For Speed to Host East To West Christian Music Festival

Canada’s largest Christian music festival is coming to… Grand Barachois?
That’s right, Shediac’s CENTRE For Speed announced Friday that the East To West Festival, Canada’s largest Christian music festival, is coming to their track from Thursday, June 26th to Saturday, June 28th, 2014.
While, according to their Facebook page, a full festival lineup has not been announced, a number of artists have been revealed for the three day festival – including headliners Jeremy Camp (Thursday), Newsboys (Friday) and Third Day (Saturday). Tenth Avenue North, Kutless, Sidewalk Prophets, The City Harmonic, Fireflight, Manafest, Jon Bauer, Dan Bremnes and Pictou County’s George Canyon have also been announced as opening acts throughout the event.
The festival is expected to bring thousands to the CENTRE For Speed over the three day event, and while the music may be the headliner, there will be plenty going on at the festival. Conferences, workshops and seminars will be going on throughout the weekend while dozens of food vendors and exhibitors will also have a presence. On-site camping will also be available on site for the weekend.
This could potentially be a huge event for the venue. While the impact may not be seen at the gate during the track’s racing events, the chance at putting the track on the map as a concert venue could be the headliner. For example, five of the event’s acts have over 750,000 likes on their Facebook pages, with Jeremy Camp and Third Day each having 1.7 million likes on the popular social media site. One. Point. Seven. Million. The impact for the venue, which is hosting a concert of this magnitude for the first time, could have a long lasting impact on the CENTRE For Speed.
Tickets and add-on packages (camping, etc.) are on sale now.The event is produced by Kingdom Come Events. For more information, check out easttowest.ca
Shediac’s CENTRE For Speed has already released their 2014 schedule, with their first stock car event taking place two weeks prior to the festival on June 14th.
