Mackintosh Takes Two on Weekend

Team Release

Just one week after winning the INEX United States Nationals, Mackintosh returned to action in North Carolina with races at Concord Motor Speedway and at Hickory Motor Speedway.

Friday night Mackintosh picked up his 18th win of the point season on the tight quarter mile track at the Concord facility. Mackintosh qualified pole and was able to hold the lead for the entire race and grab the checkered flag.

Sunday afternoon the #03 NorthEastLegends.com / BAM Foyt Racing Legend car captured the pole at Hickory Speedway. The Legend race was part of the undercard for the PASS series event.

The race saw a competitive field of drivers from all INEX divisions take the green and attempt to run down the Canadian driver. Mackintosh was challenged throughout the race by William Byron (NY) and over the final laps by veteran Legend pro driver Kyle Beattie (NC). Mackintosh was able to hold off the late charge despite having a blown gasket and a smoking motor to capture win number 19 of the INEX points season.

Mackintosh has a 44% winning percentage for the 2013 points season and still maintains the INEX Legends National Semi-Pro points lead with two weeks remaining in the season.

The Chris Woods Racing team will be back in action this Friday at Concord Motor Speedway.
