Nominations Now Open for 2013 RacingSpectator.ca Driver of the Year Award

ROUND ONE VOTING NOW OPEN!
The most prestigious fan voted award in the Atlantic Canadian stock car racing scene is back for another season!
The RacingSpectator.ca Driver of the Year Award is back for its 11th season and we are looking for your nominations.
Keeping with traditions Bruce and Bea Langille set, the Racing Spectator Driver of the Year Award is a fan voted award and this year we are opening nominations up to the community. As with previous years, a driver is not eligible to win the award twice (see list of former winners below). Nominations will remain open until Tuesday, September 17th, when all the drivers nominated will be placed into a voting pool with Round One voting beginning on Wednesday, September 18th. Round one voting will end on Monday, September 30th at NOON Atlantic and the top five will be announced later in the day.
The final vote to decide the the winner of the Racing Spectator Driver of the Year Award will open on Tuesday, October 1st and will appear on the ballot with the TCM Best of 2013 Awards. Voting will run for two weeks and will close on Monday, October 14th.
How do you nominate your favorite driver for the RacingSpectator.ca Driver of the Year? It’s easy! Fill out the form at the bottom of this page and tell us why your favorite should win the RacingSpectator.ca Driver of the Year! Note, once your driver is nominated and appears in the listing below, there is no need to re-nominate that driver during the nomination period. We would ask that you keep it to one nomination per person/IP address.
Keep in mind as well, the nomination does not have to be performance driven (we have our TCM Power Performer of the Year for that) but can be for a driver who may be a fan favorite, or is a helpful hand in the pit area, a true sportsman to other competitors on track, etc. This is your award fans – fan nominated, fan voted – we want to know who your Driver of the Year is!
Congratulations to all of those drivers nominated and good luck in the voting rounds!
