Nominations Now Open for 2013 TCM Atlantic Canadian Short Track Draft

Atlantic Canada is truly seeing a “changing of the guard” recently.

A younger generation of drivers are quickly moving up through the ranks to insert themselves into the fray as the next big star in the region – or even that next star of the short track ranks down south if given the right opportunity. The question remains, who are those up and coming talents we really need to keep our eyes on as they continue on their quest to blaze trails on the track?

We have decided to dive deeper into this with our first annual TCM Atlantic Canadian Short Track Draft. Over the next month and change, we will be comprising a list of drivers 21 or under as of 2013 (born on or after January 1st, 1992) and over that time, we at TCM, along with a panel of hand picked panelists from the region who have seen all the talent race first hand along with your ballots, will narrow the field down to the 15 we believe have what it takes to go to the next step in the sport.

Our top 15 when all is said and done will take the spotlight on TimsCorner.ca during the first few months of the off-season in November, December and January.

So, here is where you come in – we need your input on this matter! We want you to give us your three drivers you would pick to go to the next level, whatever that level may be. Think of it like this, you just won the lottery and you’re starting a three car ARCA, K&N Pro Series or even PASS Super Late Model team and you want three Atlantic Canadian born drivers to fill those seats. Who is on your radar to fill those seats? We are looking to identify that talent that will be filling the upper echelons of this sport in this region for years. Who knows who may be keeping track of our rankings down south?!

Please be sure to include a brief description as to why you are nominating these drivers, what you see in them, statistics, etc. If you know the age of the drivers you are nominating, please include them too. Ballots are kept confidential as to who nominates who, but your reasoning as to why you have nominated a driver may be used in our final rundown of the top 15!

So, what are you waiting for? Fill out your ballot below!

*Note, one ballot per IP please – we can track who is sending what! Thanks.
