Danny Harvey extended the Harvey Racing win streak on the Maritime League of Legends Tour to three with his win Saturday evening at Scotia Speedworld.

The 50-lap feature, which was a part of the 14th Annual Atlantic CAT 250 weekend, was Harvey’s first win on the Maritime League of Legends Tour in 2013 and third for the team with his uncle Cy Harvey scoring victories at Petty Raceway and Riverside Speedway in the previous two rounds. In fact, Danny and his #4 NGH Industrial Services Legend had to hold off Cy for the win on Saturday to halt Cy’s third consecutive victory lane celebration on the Tour.

Cy’s frantic challenge for the lead was not enough to take the win at his home track and had to settle for second over Hantsport’s Jeff Cruickshank, who recorded his first podium finish with the Tour in the 2013 campaign. The two point leaders entering the event kept each other honest during most of the event and while a handful of passes for position took place between the two, it was point leader Justin MacNeill (Bedford) getting the best of Emily Meehan (Rawdon) for the fourth spot.

Heat races to qualify for the 50-lap feature were won by Cruickshank and Milford Station’s Tony Gaudet Jr. Cruickshank also had the fastest lap in the main event, turning in a 16.040 second lap.

When it came to rookies in the 12 car field, it was Harry Breimer Jr. of Stewiacke taking top honors in ninth over Matthew Scott of East Dover who finished in tenth. Breimer Jr. is the leading rookie on the Maritime League of Legends Tour.
