Fredericton, NB- Speedway 660 will sit silent on Saturday night. Fans, race teams and employees have the weekend off before launching into a very busy August at Atlantic Canada’s premier racing facility.
“The long holiday weekend in August is a traditional off-weekend which gives everyone involved in racing an opportunity to spend time away from the track with their families and friends” said Speedway 660’s Michelle Roy. “We hope everyone has a great weekend and gets rested up for an intense stretch run at the track in August.”
Speedway 660 picks up the pace right after the long holiday weekend, with double header action. On Saturday, August 10th at 7PM the Sportsman Firecracker 150 highlights action and on Sunday, August 11th the 2nd Enduro of the racing season goes green at 2PM.
On Saturday, August 17th at 7PM, championship point battles will heat up in all five racing divisions and Fan Appreciation Night of Champions is scheduled for Saturday, August 24th at 7PM.
Then the 2013 racing season at Speedway 660 wraps up with SpeedWeekend. It starts with the Harvey’s Family Corn Boil on Friday, August 30th. The Irving Blending & Packaging Sportsman 150 is on Saturday, August 31st, then it’s the Auto Value 250 on Sunday, September 1st and the Enduro 200 on September 2nd.
“We are getting ready for our busiest month of the racing season with tight point battles in the West Wood Estate Apartments Bandolero, Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooter, DMR Auto Sales & Service Street Stock, Martins Home Heating Sportsman and RE/MAX Group Four Realty Pro Stock divisions’ said Roy. “And of course SpeedWeekend is our region’s biggest, most exciting event of the entire season, so everyone in our racing community is ready for an intense month of action.”
