Atlantic Modified Tour
AOW Modifieds In Shediac Saturday

On July 6, and for the first time in 2013, The AOW Modified Tour will be heading to the beautiful beach community of Shediac. But it won’t be a picnic on the beach as they tackle the tricky 3/8th’s oval of the Centre For Speed. It is always a tough track for our drivers and the one who comes out on top is considered the luckiest of the field.
We are expecting a great field of drivers for this event. At least 14 drivers are expected to make the trip up for the first of two events this summer. The 2nd event will be on October 5th as a part of CFS’s 12th annual Atlantic Championships.
Centre for Speed has been the host of some exciting racing and some spectacular wrecks. In 2011, Joe Hoyt & Jamie Brown ended up in the Turn 4 wall for one of the hardest hits we’ve seen on the tour. It ended Brown’s career on the AOW tour and left Joe Hoyt down a car. He still won the championship that season.
In 2012, the tour made history as they were televised along with the other divisions on Rogers TV. It is unknown if Rogers will be returning to cover the events at the speedway in 2013.
