Fourth TCM Icebreaker Team Endurance Race Registrations Now Open

The TCM Icebreaker Endurance Race presented by St. Louis Bar & Grill and Conway Customz Inc. returns to East Coast Karting this April!

Registration is now open for the fourth edition of the team endurance karting event. The event will take place on Saturday, April 27th at East Coast Karting outside of Dieppe, New Brunswick with a scheduled green flag time of 1:45pm.

The event takes a similar format to the previous two events with teams of three or more taking to the track for the two hour endurance race. Each team will be required to make two five minute pit stops over the course of the race with the team completing the most laps, after any penalties, in two hours taking home the hardware built by Conway Customz Inc. in Truro, Nova Scotia.

Marketing opportunities for this event are also available by contacting Tim Terry. A post race celebration will be held at St. Louis Bar and Grill Dieppe following the race.

UPDATE (MARCH 29TH, 2024)

ICEBREAKER ENDURO: We have a couple updates ahead of April 27th’s TCM Icebreaker Team Endurance Race presented by St. Louis Bar & Grill Moncton & Dieppe and Conway Customz Inc. at East Coast Karting.

– After having the question a few times and after speaking with the host venue, drivers must be 16 years of age minimum to compete in the 2024 edition of the event. Should changes need to be made to a team, the team is urged to fill out the registration form on the website again. Should a team need to withdraw completely, please contact Tim or message the Tim’s Corner Motorsports Facebook page. We apologize for any inconvenience.

– There will be an eWaiver that will be required to be filled out for all drivers competing. For those that run at oval tracks in the region, this is the same form that the insurance company requires you to fill out before you get to the track. This form will be available late in the first week of April and will be emailed to team captains and posted on our social media/website when ready.

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN

Registration is now open and is capped at the first 13 teams. Entry fee for the event is $300 per team, tax included, and is payable at ECK on race day. Registration on race day begins at 12:00pm, the driver’s meeting will take place at 1:20pm with the green flag approximately at 1:45pm. To register for the event, the team representative can fill out the form below!

The 2024 Competitor Package is available here. Please keep in mind the drivers meeting package/rules within this document could change slightly prior to race day. Any suggestions/comments on race format or procedures can be directed to Tim Terry.

In the latest edition of the event, it was Cory Hall Racing taking control in the second half to capture their first checkered flag in the ECK event. The team had won several TCM Enduros held at the former indoor Kartbahn location in Bayers Lake. The 2023 winning team was comprised of Craig MacDonald, Danny Chisholm and Brad Eddy.

The 2019 event saw a completely different dynamic after moisture at the 52nd minute eventually turned into a steady rain. Team Dunbar, comprised of Calum Dunbar, Stephen Oliver and Reece Colter, adapted the quickest, taking the win after completing 155 laps. In the 2018 edition of the event, Racing With Autism completed 203 laps, two laps more than any other team without penalty, en route to the victory. The team comprised of Austin Riley, Shane Riley and Stephen Oliver, bested nine other entries for the win in the inaugural event. Oliver is the only driver to be on both winning teams in the event over the first two years of the TCM Icebreaker Endruance Race presented by St. Louis Bar & Grill Moncton and Dieppe.

ECK is located at 74 Babin Road, just off the Trans Canada Highway at Exit 474. For complete information on East Coast Karting, please visit www.eastcoastkarting.com.
