Cory Hall Racing Takes Third TCM Icebreaker Enduro at East Coast Karting
Cory Hall Racing is once again a winner in a TCM Karting Endurance Race. This time, the trio of Danny Chisholm, Brad Eddy and Craig MacDonald took the CHR banner to victory lane in the TCM Icebreaker Endurance Race presented by St. Louis Bar & Grill at East Coast Karting.
Craig Tully and RBR Team #2 broke away from the green flag and put the whole field one lap down prior to the first round of pit stops. Both CHR and the MCR teams were able to leverage a red flag into their pit stop strategy to take the upper hand. While MCR would flash into the lead during the second round of pit stops with Trevor Smith at the wheel, it was CHR who held the upper hand after the 40th minute to capture the victory. CHR completed 197 laps, six laps shy of the event record set by Racing With Autism in 2018.
Consistency put the 28 Racing Team of Matt Watson, Tanton Wooldridge and Janson Gallant in second, four laps behind CHR. The RBR x PFR team of Chris Roma, Brentley Pirri and Danny Veitch was third, even with a small penalty for being four seconds light on their second stop. Rental Warriors, who also suffered a minor pit stop penalty and MCR completed the top five.
Honorable mention to Ricky Millar of the IGFC team for doing a double stint of well over one hour after teammate Adam Getson fell ill four laps into his shift. Millar finished 10th with his team which also included Norm Robichaud.
While it is the fourth TCM Endurance Race win for CHR, it is their first with TCM at East Coast Karting. The team captured a trio of Endurance races at Kartbahn in 2017 and 2018. CHR previously finished fourth in the inaugural Icebreaker back in 2018, while Danny Chisholm was second in that event with The Bus Drivers team. Of note, Craig MacDonald is the only driver to be a part of all four Team Endurance wins to go with his most Series wins in the now defunct TCM Stock Car Shootout at Kartbahn.
