RAIN – Speedway 660 Pulls Plug on Opening Weekend
The opening of the 20th season of Speedway 660 will have to wait one more week.
Persistent rain in the forecast for Saturday and Sunday has forced the new ownership group at the track to cancel this weekend’s racing activities. The 20th season of Speedway 660 will kick off next week with the Riverview Ford Lincoln Season Opener program scheduled for today, with Kids Day moving to June 15th. The practice day and rain date will also be moved to next weekend, so be sure to take note that teams will be able to practice at the track on Friday from 4pm to sundown and if needed, the race will run Sunday at 2pm if the weather moves the race from it’s Saturday, June 1st at 7pm slot.
Mark it on your calendar – Saturday, June 1st at 7pm – Opening Weekend at Speedway 660!
“Today’s race has been cancelled along with tomorrow’s rain date. The practice, race & rain date have been re-scheduled for next weekend. All times the same as this weekend. Kids day moved to June 15th.”
