MARITIME LEAGUE OF LEGENDS CROSSES BORDER WITH CROSSROADS CYCLE 50 SATURDAY

(BEDFORD, NS – July 28th, 2021) – The Maritime League of Legends Tour is hitting the road as the Series contests Round Two of the 2021 season this Saturday at Petty International Raceway. The CrossRoads Cycle 50 marks the return to the Province of New Brunswick for the Tour for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic and is the first of two stops for the Series at the high banked bullring in 2021. Racing begins on Saturday, July 31st at 6pm.

Sam Rogers (Lower Onslow, NS) leads the Maritime League of Legends Tour into competition after his victory in the CARS Automotive 50 at Scotia Speedworld on July 17th. Rogers held off a hard charging Braden Langille (Shubenacadie, NS) after the 2019 champion, along with Craig MacDonald (Waverley, NS), came from the back of the pack at the halfway point in that race. Colton Noble (Upper Nine Mile River, NS) who has impressed in his first few races behind the wheel of a Legend car, scored a podium finish in the season opener at Scotia Speedworld.

Those four, along with over a dozen others, are expected to race for the win in the Cross Roads 50. Michael Cormier (Grand-Barachois, NB) and Darren Sherwood (Cambridge Narrows, NB) are among the Legend drivers that will look to defend their home turf on Saturday night. Devin Gallant (Charlottetown, PE) will be making the trip across the Confederation Bridge to compete on Saturday.

Several up and coming rising stars from Nova Scotia will look to capture their first Maritime League of Legends Tour victory. Josh Langille along with his younger brother Nathan (Coldbrook, NS), Danny Chisholm (Canning, NS), Nathan Blackburn (Timberlea, NS), Devin Wadden (Hammonds Plains, NS), Owen Mahar (Hubley, NS) and Dylan Dowe (Bedford, NS) are among the stars on the rise that will be showcased on Saturday. All of them will have one goal is sights – to win the CrossRoads Cycle 50 on Saturday evening at Petty International Raceway.

Grandstand admission prices for Saturday’s event are $30 for adults and $10 for youth aged eight to 18, while children seven years of age and under will be admitted free. Pit admission on Saturday is $35 and is restricted to those 16 years of age and older. Racing begins at 6pm. Camping is available on a first come, first serve basis. The CrossRoads Cycle 50 is a part of the Irving 150 race event on Saturday, July 31st.
