Double Header Weekend at Scotia Speedworld Features Shriners Classic Friday; ECI Pro Stock Tour Saturday

FRIDAY – Track Release

(Halifax, NS – July 12, 2021) The 26th edition of the Shriners’ Classic for the Fleet Brake Atlantic Sportsman is set for Friday night. In addition to the 50 lap Sportsman feature fans will also see racing action from the Toursec Thunder & Lightning, Strictly Hydraulics Legends, and Bandolero Divisions. Racing action will get underway at 7:00 PM with grandstands opening at 5:00pm.

The Shriners’ Classic is one of the most prestigious Sportsman races in the province. A quick look at the past champions list will show several big names in the sport, many of whom have gone on to win championships and compete with the East Coast International Pro Stock Tour.

About Scotia Speedworld: Scotia Speedworld (SSW) is a 3/10-mile asphalt oval racing facility. SSW is the only track in Nova Scotia to host a weekly racing series, which runs May through September and features five different classes of racecars. SATURDAY – Series Release

The East Coast International Pro Stock Tour is thrilled to announce the cars and stars of the Tour will be back on track next Saturday, July 17th at Scotia Speedworld. The 150-lap event will feature the best racing talent from across the Maritimes. Atlantic Tiltload Heat Races will kick-off racing action at 4:00pm and set the field for the feature.

Scotia Speedworld is currently approved to host 750 fans per the Nova Scotia health authorities. Fans must be seated in pods (sections) with specific entry and exit gates for each pod. There are 150 tickets available in five separate pods in the main grandstands. Ticket booths will be set up at each pod entrance point.

Tickets for the grandstands go on sale Monday at 9:00am and will be available online at www.eventbrite.ca. Adult tickets are $30.00, youth $10.00. Tickets for the pits are $35.00 and available at the back gate on race day only. Grandstands will open at 1:00pm next Saturday.

Per Public Health protocols, social distancing is required between pods and fans need to wear a mask while entering, exiting and moving about the facility. Masks can be removed while seated.
