Second Annual All Star Showcase; Weekly iRacing Series Finale Closes eSports Season for TCM in April

The Tim’s Corner Motorsports iRacing Season will come to a close in April with a handful of big races.

After a “spring break” of sorts, the cars and stars of the TCM Special Events will hit the track six more times over the next three weeks before their focus fully shifts to the real world season. When the dust settles, nearly $1,000 will be paid out to the drivers that have competed in the iRacing events throughout the 2020-21 off-season.

The TCM Weekly iRacing Series will have two more races to close the book on the 2021 season at the virtual Nashville Fairgrounds. The March 31st 75-lap feature is the final of three races in the TCM Triple Crown and if Dustyn Mombourquette can complete the sweep of the three race mini-series, he will pocket an extra $100 on his championship payout. The championship wraps up on Wednesday, April 7th with a 200-lap feature. Brett Suggs, Mike Alexander and “Rational” Richard Drake find themselves in a three way fight atop the championship standings with just the pair of races remaining in the season.

The TCM Smashed Potatoes Season Finale has been set for the Irwindale Speedway Figure 8 on Sunday, April 11th. The one hour event will go green at 7:30pm Atlantic following a half hour qualifying session. More information will be released to competitors as the event draws closer.

An additional race night on Tuesday, April 6th is being finalized and details will be announced soon. This will serve as the final TCM Special Events open race prior to the TCM All Star Showcase week.

The TCM All Star Showcase returns for a second year on Thursday, April 15th at 8:30pm with a format similar to 2020. While previously announced as a 300-lap feature, the All Star Showcase will return to a 250-lap Super Late Model feature with New Smyrna Speedway being the virtual venue. The event will carry a $250 guaranteed purse, with the winner receiving $100 and payouts being made back through the top ten. A trio of 25-lap heat races will set the field with each winner receiving a bonus. A Pole Challenge will also be offered and will be unveiled during the Showcase week. As of March 26th, 22 drivers have qualified for the Showcase.

For those that have not won a main event during the 2020-21 season, their final shot to make the TCM All Star Showcase will take place during the TCM All Star Open on Wednesday, April 14th at 8:30pm. The 100-lap feature will see the winner transfer into the Showcase and is only open to drivers who have yet to visit victory lane this off-season.

All races will be covered by Vidane TV and can be viewed via the Tim’s Corner Motorsports Facebook Page.
