Petty Raceway Posts 2020 Rulebooks; Looking to Add Legend Division

Petty International Raceway was busy on Wednesday with two announcements on Facebook for competitors at the River Glade, New Brunswick oval.

The track released 2020 rulebooks for four of their six regular point divisions – the Women on Wheels, Mini Stock, Street Stock and Late Model Sportsman. Those rulebooks can be found on the front page of the Petty International Raceway website. The rulebook for the Bandolero division will be set by INEX while the Modified building rules are typically set by the Atlantic Modified Tour.

In addition, the track also made a call out to Legend competitors in hopes of adding the division on a regular basis on 2020. The track has proposed a seven race series for the INEX sanctioned division, which would encompass the two Maritime League of Legends Tour events along with five additional races to crown a track champion. The track would like to see ten competitors at minimum to commit to the class before adding it to their roster of current classes. Interested teams are encouraged to contact Wayne Smith  via email at wayne@pettyraceway.com.

Petty International Raceway would become the third track in the last two seasons to add a Legend car division to their racing card on a semi-regular or regular basis. Oyster Bed Speedway added the class to their rotation in 2019 while Sydney Speedway re-opened with the division on their card. Previous to 2019, Scotia Speedworld, Eastbound Park and the Maritime League of Legends Tour were the only three holding Legend car events as a part of their racing programs in Atlantic Canada.
