#TCMBestof2019 – TCM Power Performer of the Year Award Goes to Braden Langille

Tim’s Corner Motorsports is excited to announce that Braden Langille is the 2019 TCM Power Performer of the Year Award winner.

The TCM Power Performer of the Year Award is given to a driver based on their on track performance over the Atlantic Canadian race season. After a determining point system over the last two seasons, in 2019 the decision to crown the TCM Power Performer of the Year ultimately resided with our TCM Best of Racing Award panel.

While there was no point system used to determine a champion of the award in 2019, Langille’s statistics on track in his No. 51 Velocity Machining and Welding/AK Performance Legend car speak for themselves and likely would have put him there with the former system. In 28 starts, Langille won a total of 17 Legend car features in the Maritimes this past season, or 61% of the races he started in just over a four month span. Langille won at every race track he raced at in the region and there were five of those that saw the No. 51 car roll through their gates. His performance on the Maritime League of Legends Tour was worthy of a championship with the team winning six of the ten races on the schedule. Langille was in the seat for nine of those races with Riley Halverson taking the wheel at the Toromont Cat 250 weekend with Langille away at a concert in Moncton.

His Scotia Speedworld Weekly Racing Series wins were impressive as most not only came in fields of twenty cars or more but several of those 25-lap features Langille won were from the back of the field. Without a parts break in the Season Opener in May and an accident at the Season Finale, Langille would have likely captured, or at least been closer to, a Scotia Speedworld track championship.

Even with missing out on Asphalt Nationals at Carteret County Speedway (NC) in October with a shoulder injury sustained playing hockey, Langille still finished tenth overall in INEX Pro Legend points and was first in Eastern Canada of Pro division eligible drivers.

Langille’s consistency to find victory lane in fields with not only quality competition but also quantity in field sizes has earned the Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia driver the 2019 TCM Power Performer of the Year Award. Langille is the second Legend car driver to win the Award after Cory Hall’s triumph in 2016. The win is Langille’s second TCM Best of Racing Award after winning the Finish Line Vinyl Design Best Looking Car Award in 2013 for his Bandolero livery. Langille joins five other drivers to have won multiple TCM Best of Racing Awards.
