Competitor Package and Race Day Format Posted for Sydney Speedway Opener on July 27th and 28th

Let’s try this again, shall we?!

In advance of Sydney Speedway’s Opening Weekend for the 2019 season on Saturday, July 27th and Sunday, July 28th, track officials have released a race day format for the two day show and additional competitor information for the event.

The weekend is highlighted by INEX National Qualifiers for Legends and Bandoleros, the Veterans for Healing Twin 75s for the Passione Flooring & Interiors East Coast Mini Stock Tour and features for Street Stocks on Saturday and Late Model Sportsman on Sunday.

In addition to stock car racing, the Demolition and Endurance racing has created some hype. Those events will run following the stock car racing events on Sunday evening.

ECMST payout to be paid by ECMST based on Tour procedures

Street Stock and Sportsman feature laps are based on car count; 6 cars or less – 35 Laps, 7 to 12 cars – 50 laps; 13 to 17 cars – 75 laps; 18+ cars – 100 Laps. Payout will increase minimum $25 per position if 13 or more cars are checked in tech and make a bonafide attempt to compete per division. Payouts above are based off a minimum of six cars entering the feature.

Demolition – $500 to Win; $50 Maddog Award (most aggressive in derby) presented by East Coast Demo Derby
Dash for Cash – $10 entry; Winner Takes Pot
Back-Up Race, Powderpuff Race and Barrell Race – $25 to win each qualifier

Endurance Race – $500 to win; $200 for second; $100 for third; $50 for fourth and $50 for fifth

**Please note; Demolition and Endurance drivers must compete in three of the four qualifiers to become eligible for full pay for the Demolition and/or Endurance 100. Drivers can still compete in Demolition or Endurance Race should they not run qualifiers but will receive half pay for the event.

“The Fine Print”

Transponder Rental Fee: $20 per car, per day

Pit admission: $25 per person; 18+ age without minor waiver form signed, 14 to 17 with minor waiver form signed, Bandolero drivers must have minor waiver form signed.
Grandstand Admission: Adult (16+) $15; Youth (eight to 16) $6; Family Pass (two adults and two youth) $35
Please note; admissions are cash only. Admission prices are per day.

No registration fee for house divisions BUT registration form must be filled out and signed on race day prior to hitting the track for practice.

Saturday Evening Optional Practice: $10 per car; practice will run in divisional rotation until dark.

Camping: Free, no services offered. Campers must park in designated area.

Thursday Night Practice: 5pm to dusk, $10 per person pit admission; test n tune format.

Food Vendor will be on site Saturday and Sunday, both pit and grandstand side.

Race Director: Frankie Fraser; Tech Director: Tony Leonard; Scoring – TBA

Rulebooks: Street Stock will run Petty International Raceway rules as a base
Sportsman will run Scotia Speedworld and NAPA Sportsman rules as a base with no minimum spring rate.
Legends and Bandoleros will run INEX rulebook
ECMST will follow ECMST rules and procedures.
Demolition and Endurance Rules will follow Speedway Miramichi Demolition rules as a base.
