Scotia Speedworld Not Permitting New Bandolero Front Suspension Package in 2019 Competition

US Legend Cars International unveiled a new front suspension system for Bandolero race cars at the PRI show in December. The news set social media ablaze and was a hot topic in racing circles, including at the Scotia Speedworld Rules Meetings two weeks after the announcement.

Today, Scotia Speedworld issued a statement saying that the suspension would not be permitted in competition at the track in 2019.

Their announcement, released via their website and social media, is below.

The new proposed suspension system for the Bandolero Cars does not have a release date, but development work continues by INEX. It is not thought that the suspension package will be available in 2019.

Any changes must be introduced, so all teams have equal access to any new or changed parts and there is sufficient supply to satisfy the demand for 2019 racing year. A mid-year introduction is problematic for everyone regarding access and introducing major changes during the racing season. At this time the new suspension package will not be permitted at Scotia Speedworld in 2019.

We will continue to monitor development of this suspension system by INEX, as it unfolds.

In case you missed it, US Legend Cars released a photo from the PRI show in December on their Twitter account.

Scotia Speedworld was the first track in Eastern Canada to introduce the Bandolero division in 2006. Since then, Speedway 660, Petty International Raceway and Eastbound International Speedway have hosted INEX sanctioned Bandolero divisons.
