NASCAR Frontline Action 100 on Sunday at Eastbound Featuring DJ Kennington

Labour Day Weekend will be an historic day at Eastbound International Speedway on September 2, 2018. Monster Energy Cup driver DJ Kennington will compete in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series at the Frontline Action 100 main event. Kennington will be the first Monster Energy Cup driver to race at Newfoundland and Labrador’s Eastbound International Speedway. Kennington will pilot the #17 Eastbound Park Chevrolet.
A year after qualifying into the 2017 Daytona 500, D.J. Kennington has had a successful 2018 Monster Energy Cup series with seven featured starts including Daytona 500, Daytona Coke Zero 400, Michigan, Martinsville, Phoenix, Bristol, and Talladega.
Hailing from St. Thomas, Ontario, Kennington became the first Canadian to compete in the Daytona 500 in 29 years. A day later, Member of Parliament Karen Vecchio officially recognized the driver and team’s feat on the floor of Canada’s House of Commons.
Kennington is a two-time NASCAR Pinty’s Series champion and 19-time Pinty’s Series race winner. He has made 69 career starts in NASCAR’s three national divisions, with a best Monster Energy Cup Series finish of 13th coming this year at Daytona’s Coke Zero 400.
On the racing card for September 2nd will be the Hanlon Realty US Legends, MNR Performance Bandolero, Atlantic Dodge Dealers Hobby Stock, and to celebrate Labour day weekend, Division 1 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series will throw down a double 50 lap main feature in the Frontline Action 100.
The event will also feature a Frontline Action Funzone, which will include a bouncy castle, paintball shooting range, monster slide, and laser tag.
