Four Atlantic Tiltload Heat races determined the starting positions for the iconic race. John Flemming (Halifax, NS) won heat one which put the five-time champion in the pole position. Clark, Butcher and younger brother Jarrett (Porter’s Lake, NS) also won their respective heats. Elder Butcher also picked up the H&B Car Sales Halfway Award, while younger brother takes home the King Freight Lines Future Winner Award.
