Maritime League of Legends Tour
HALL GOES BACK TO BACK IN CELTIC AIR SERVICES MARITIME LEGENDS CHALLENGE

For Cory Hall (Jolicure, NB), the Celtic Air Services Maritime Legends Challenge at Riverside International Speedway was never in doubt. Hall, who made his first start on the Maritime League of Legends Tour in 2018, dominated the 50-lap feature from flag to flag on Friday the 13th. Hall started on the pole and never looked back for his second straight Legend car victory on the IWK 250 Super Weekend.
The Celtic Air Services Maritime Legends Challenge saw a number of engine related failures and oil downs which slowed the race and made the Riverside Speedway clean up crew the most busiest personnel at the track on Friday night.
“It was a crazy race,” said Hall in victory. “I can’t say I’ve seen much like it before and I’ve been in a lot of races. It seemed like we were racing through speedy dry all night and cars were all over the place.”
Behind Hall, the second place position was a revolving door for most of the 50-lap feature. Point leader Craig MacDonald (Waverley, NS), Shelby Baker (Fall River, NS), reigning Tour champion Waylon Farrell (Conception Bay South, NL), Adam Meehan (Rawdon Gold Mines, NS) and his sister Emily Meehan (Rawdon Gold Mines, NS) all made a bid for the top spot but each found their own misfortunes on the night.
When the checkered flag flew, it was Will Farrell (Conception Bay South, NL) who was able to snag second place. Farrell would not pass post race technical inspection, which led to the promotion of Paul Goulden (Shelburne, NS) to second and Tylor Hawes (Porter’s Lake, NS) to his first podium on the Maritime League of Legends Tour. Shane Lively (Middle Sackville, NS) and Fleet Brake Atlantic Rookie of the Race Sam Rogers (Lower Onslow, NS) completed the top five.
Hall (Pro), Goulden (Masters), Hawes (Semi-Pro) and Rogers (Young Lions) were the winners of the NAPA Auto Parts Class Bonuses. Thanks to Todd Robertson and NAPA Auto Parts of Antigonish, Port Hawkesbury and New Glasgow for their support of the Maritime League of Legends Tour.
Twenty-eight cars answered the call to the green flag for the Celtic Air Services Maritime Legends Challenge. The 50-lap race took 48 minutes to complete. Heat races were on by Will Farrell, MacDonald and Emily Meehan.
