Tim’s Corner Motorsports (TCM) is proud to present the first TCM Stock Car Shootout at Kartbahn Racing of the off-season. The first of an anticipated five one-off events will bring together a number of stock car stars from the Maritimes, along with some special guests, to duke it out on the tight Kartbahn Racing track for bragging rights throughout the Winter and the traveling trophy from Finish Line Vinyl Design and Phil-ko Plastics and Glass. Qualifying begins at 7:30pm.

In 2016-17, the Cory Hall Racing stable dominated the series with Craig MacDonald taking home two victories. Andrew Lively, Kyle Gammon and Cory Hall each took single race wins in the five races held last Winter.

A total of 55 drivers took part between the five rounds of the TCM Stock Car Shootout in 2016-17 and it is expected that over half the field for Tuesday night’s event will be newcomers to the series of one-off races. In addition to the four former winners, Thunder car feature winner Nic Baker, the Maritime League of Legends Tour’s Shane Lively, Petty International Raceway co-owner Craig McFetridge and 89.3 KRock’s Dylan Langille are back to take their shot at taking home the traveling trophy.

The list of newcomers to the Tuesday night special brings familiar names to the track in hopes of taking home their first TCM Stock Car Shootout. One of the favorites heading into the night is Kelsey Hann, a multi-time karting champion and daughter of former Sportsman driver Graham Hann. Hann, along with fellow karter and Bandolero Outlaw driver Danny Chisholm, will try to become the youngest driver to win a TCM event at Kartbahn when they hit the track Tuesday.

Former Scotia Speedworld Thunder car champions Matthew and Andrew Warren, along with Ken Zwicker are on the expected entry list. The list also includes multi-time Scotia Speedworld feature winners “Rational” Richard Drake, Cory Leonard, Shriner’s Classic Champion Travis Roma and crew chief Chris Roma.

East Coast Mini Stock Tour Technical Official Brad Hayes, former Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour competitor Brad Brown, Maritime League of Legends Tour Rookie of the Year Kyle Shipley, Mini Stock rookie Darren Flemming and Wade Rushton, who will make his Thunder debut in 2018, complete a stout field of expected entries for the Tuesday night special.

Fans are invited to watch the racing action at Kartbahn Racing in Halifax (66 Otter Lake Court), which begins at 7:30pm with qualifying. Registration for racers opens up at 7pm. Each driver will have two qualifying sessions to set their quick time to make it into one of the three final races.

The dates for the remaining four events throughout the season will be determined soon.
