Eastbound Park and NASCAR goes live tonight at 4pm for the NASCAR CANADA 150 race. Race was rescheduled due to yesterday’s weather forecast and we look forward to the first Under the Lights event at Eastbound International Speedway. Gates open at 4pm for Heat Race Qualifiers and Main Events Start at 5:30pm
Wayne Walsh and Shane Coffen have had quite the early battle in the NAPA Auto Parts Sportsman division. Walsh’s worst finish in four feature events has been second place while Coffen stumbled in the second feature event on June 18th. Can Walsh continue to power his Dodge to the front or will we have another team turn up the heat on the Canada Day weekend for their first win on the year in the NASCAR Whelen All American Series Division I?
Ryan St. George has established himself as the early front runner in the Hanlon Realty Legend division but Jonathon Norman quickly brought the fight to the class with a feature win during the last event. In one of the most competitive classes at Eastbound Park, who will be the one to step up, or will the #1 continue to be on top after 30 laps of heated action on a Monday evening?
On the strength of his win on June 18th, Shane Collins leads the Atlantic Dodge Dealers Hobby Stock points heading into today’s twin 25 lap features. Over 20 drivers have taken the green flag so far this year and they’ll be looking to join Collins and Andrew Morgan as feature winners on 2017 when the green flag drops today at 4pm.
The Automotive Supplies Bandolero division continues to grow at Eastbound Park with 14 teams currently on the Island. The young stars of Newfoundland stock car racing will be on track today at 4pm at the Canada 150 event. Will it be reigning point champion Sara Thorne taking her second win of the year? Can Owen Groves go two-for-two after his recent feature win on June 17th? Michael Neary, Kyle Hedderson, Nick Codner and the rest of the field will look to upend the duo’s deadlock on victory lane.
Who will take the checkered flag today? Find out in Avondale tonight…
