Nova Truck Centres Make A Wish 150 Saturday at Scotia Speedworld

(Halifax, NS – June 20, 2017) The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour heads to the tight, 3/10-mile Scotia Speedworld oval, located just outside of Halifax, Nova Scotia for the Nova Truck Centres Make A Wish 150 this Saturday, June 24th. The Nova Truck Centres 150 marks the second of four stops at Scotia Speedworld on the 2017 schedule and race four of 12 for the popular stock car racing series. Grandstand gates for the Nova Truck Centres Make A Wish 150 open at 3:00 PM; Atlantic Tiltload qualifying is slated for 6:00 PM.

Nova Truck Centres recently brought their two Dartmouth locations under one roof in a new facility located at 670 Wilkinson Avenue in Burnside. The location boasts ample parking for your tractors and trailers, 24 service bays, 2000 sq ft Parts Show Room, 7000 sq ft Parts Warehouse and a Drivers Lounge that includes: laundry, showers, quiet room, TV & WiFi. Shawn Turple (Enfield, NS) continues to sit atop the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour championship point standings. Turple, a two-time Series champion, has had an amazing start to his season winning the first two events and coming home in second last weekend at Riverside International. Although Turple has been on a hot streak he only has four points on Dylan Blenkhorn (Truro, NS) who currently sits second in the standings. Reigning Series Champion Cole Butcher (Porter’s Lake, NS) is third after three events. Prince Edward Island drivers Dylan Gosbee (Cornwall) and Greg Proude (Springvale) round out the top five respectively.

Also on the Saturday racing card with the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour are two of Scotia Speedworld’s CARSTAR Weekly Racing Series divisions. Joining the Tour are the four-cylinder Toursec Lightning cars and the Pulse Heavy Duty Trucks who will run 25 lap features prior to the Nova Truck Centres Make A Wish 150.

Joining the festivities on Saturday will be the Atlantic Canada Make A Wish foundation and three of their “Wish Kids”. Brooks, age 6 from Fisherman’s Harbour, NS; Sadie, age 6 from Antigonish, NS and Cassidy, age 13 from Upper Sackville, NS. The Make A Wish Foundation will also be selling tickets on Saturday for two airline tickets anywhere WestJet flies.

Race Time Radio will also be joining us on Saturday for the Nova Truck Centres Make A Wish 150. Race broadcast will be available for listeners absolutely free, no subscription necessary, via www.racetimeradio.com by clicking the “Listen Live” link.

Admission for Saturday’s Nova Truck Centres Make A Wish 150 is $25.00 for adults; $8.00 for youth; pit admission is $30.00. Children 7 and under are admitted for free (Cash Only). If you’re in town Friday night don’t miss the 23rd annual Shriners Classic featuring 50 laps of Affordable Fuels Sportsman racing. Weekend passes are available for $35.00, weekend pit passes $40.00.
