(June 8, 2017) The Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooters take center stage at Speedway 660 this Saturday night. Racing begins at 6:30PM and includes a 50 lap feature for the little four cylinder, front-wheel drive race cars. Fans will also be treated to action in the RE/MAX Group Four Realty Pro Stock, Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman and DMR Auto Sales Street Stock divisions.

“After that disappointing rain-out of last weekend’s PASS 150, fans and race teams are anxious to get back to the track for a great night of racing“ said Speedway 660`s Max Roy. “The Sharp Shooter 50 and point racing in Street Stock, Sportsman and Pro Stock will give everyone lots of exciting entertainment on our first Saturday night event of the season.”

Kyle Boudreau and Kyle MacKinnon have won the two 20 lap Sharp Shooter features this season. Brodie Levesque has two top three finishes, while Brian Suttie looked very strong the last time out.

“We run 20 lappers every week and to go out and compete for 50 laps is going to put a lot of pressure on our little cars, so we’ve got to do our work in the shop this week to make sure the cars are as good as we can make them” said MacKinnon, the 2016 Sharp Shooter champion. “Saturday night is the one race date of the season that we are the main attraction, so I encourage everyone to come down to Speedway 660 to see the Sharp Shooters.“

Adult ticket prices for Saturday’s Sharp Shooter 50 are $14; Youth tickets, for kids between 13 and 15, are $10 and; admission is always free for fans 12 and under.

There is no rain date for this event. If the weather is unsettled on Saturday morning fans and race teams should call the race line at 506-454-7223 or visit for race day status updates.

The Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman 100 is coming up on Saturday, June 17th, but this weekend it’s the Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooter 50.
