Fredericton Gun Shop Takes Aim at 660 Sharp Shooters for Fifth Year

(March 30th, 2017 – Fredericton, NB) – Speedway 660 management is excited to announce that the Fredericton Gun Shop will return for a fifth straight season as sponsor of the Sharp Shooters division. The Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooters are four cylinder domestic passenger cars modified for racing and features drivers of all ages. While the class serves as the entry level division at the Geary oval, it produces racing just as exciting as their counterparts in the Street Stock and Late Model classes every Saturday night throughout the Summer.

Kyle MacKinnon of Lincoln, New Brunswick celebrated his first stock car championship at Speedway 660 last season by taking home the Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooters championship. MacKinnon edged out 2015 champion Kyle Boudreau to take the crown. A total of eight different drivers took home wins in the 12 race season in 2016; solidifying the fact the division is one of the closest and most competitive on the Speedway 660 Weekly Point Racing program.

The Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooters will open their 2017 season during the Riverview Ford Lincoln Season Opener on Sunday, May 14th. The full program of racing begins at 2pm.
