INEX #WinterNats17 – Hall Doubles Up With Two Wins on Day Two

Double features did not stop Cory Hall from taking home two more gator trophies from INEX Winter Nationals.

Hall, from Jolicure, New Brunswick, was the winner of both Semi Pro features on Tuesday at Citrus County Speedway. Wednesday’s features were run on Tuesday evening as inclement weather was forecast for the third day of racing in Inverness, Florida.

Hall had to battle with fellow Maritimer Nicholas Naugle for the win in both events. Naugle finished second in both races. Both features were shortened to 25 laps from the regular 30 lap distance and the second feature of the evening was completed after 20 laps due to the time limit being reached.

Hall holds a 15 point lead on Naugle after three races. Waylon Farrell had a pair of sixth place finishes which vaulted him up to ninth in the week long standings. Will Farrell sits 16th in the standings after the third race of the week.

Nathan Langille is on a streak of second place finishes with his second and third straight runner up finish in the Bandolero Bandit division. Owen Mahar took home two fourth place finishes after an opening day disqualification.

Ira Laughy put a pair of third place finishes on the board behind winner Tim Brockhouse in the Masters feature. Paul Goulden broke late in the first feature and was a part of the final incident that cut the second Masters feature short to 20 laps.

Dylan Dowe put a second and third place finish up in the two races on the afternoon in the Beginner Bandit features. His sister Brooke Dowe came home with two fifth place results.

The Outlaw Bandolero division saw Sam Rogers put up the best finish of any Canadian with a second place finish in the second feature of the night. Danny Chisholm finished the second race in third on a last lap pass, with Michael Neary (8th), Josh Langille (10th) and Michael Cormier (11th) completing the Canadian contingent. Langille was third in the first race, followed by Chisholm (4th), Rogers (5th) and Cormier (6th). Neary found trouble on the opening lap of the first Outlaw feature on the afternoon, finishing in 14th. Rogers (3rd) and Chisholm (4th) sit in the top five in the point standings for the week, behind North Carolina’s Tommy Good and South Carolina’s Cameron Bolin.
