Rules Ready for CENTRE For Speed Mini Stock Drivers

CENTRE for Speed is pleased to release it’s expanded Mini Stock rules for the 2017 season, as previously announced.  The expanded Mini Stock Division joins the “Fantastic 4’s” (a 4 Cylinder, North American manufactured car, truck, and select crossover class), and the “Super 6’s” (a North American 6 Cylinder class of 1/4 Tons, cars, and crossovers).

The expanded Mini Stock class will allow a broader range of years and vehicles from both North American and European and Asian models.   These classes have been designed to be extremely inexpensive to build, operate and maintain as well as to provide close and exciting competition for teams and fans.  Focus in all classes changes with these announcements from the car to more on the drivers, teams and set-ups.  All three new classes will use a weight to performance metric which the speedway used when introducing its successful crate engine program into the Maritimes which subsequently became a standard throughout the region.

Rules are available upon request by calling the Centre’s home office at 506 388-2415 or emailing gm@centreforspeed.com.  All rules will be available on the speedways new website once completed in the early spring. The three classes will begin racing in May of 2017.

These class form the core of the CENTRE’s stock car program for 2017.  Existing classes are expected to be added to event dates (once announced) on an invitational basis.   Specialty racing rules for an Enduro and Figure 8 Division are TBA.
