Nominations for 2016 Martin’s Home Heating Most Popular Driver Award

Nomination period closed. First round voting can be found at this link.

The most prestigious fan voted award on the Atlantic Canadian stock car racing scene is back for another season!

Tim’s Corner Motorsports is pleased to welcome Martin’s Home Heating on board as title sponsor for the Most Popular Driver Award for the 2016 season. Martin’s Home Heating is a major sponsor of stock car racing throughout the region and we are excited to partner with Richard and Ann Martin to produce the fifth annual TCM Most Popular Driver Award.

The Martin’s Home Heating Most Popular Driver Award is completely fan driven – fans will nominate their favorite drivers for the award and through three rounds of voting, fans will decide who ultimately takes away the crown!

Nominations are now being accepted and will remain open until Tuesday, September 20th at NOON Atlantic, when all the drivers nominated will be placed into a voting pool with Round One voting beginning that evening at 6pm Atlantic. Round one voting will end on Tuesday, September 27th at NOON Atlantic.

The second round of voting will take place from Wednesday, September 28th at 6pm to Wednesday, October 5th at NOON.

The final vote to decide the the winner of the Tim’s Corner Motorsports Most Popular Driver will open on Thursday, October 6th at NOON Atlantic and will appear on the ballot with the TCM Best Looking Car presented by Finish Line Vinyl Design. Voting will run until the end of the racing season and will close on Monday, October 17th at Noon.

*note, voting round dates and times are subject to change without notice

How do you nominate your favorite driver for the Martin’s Home Heating Most Popular Driver Award? It’s easy!

Fill out the form at the bottom of this page and tell us why your favorite should win the Martin’s Home Heating Most Popular Driver Award! Note, once your driver is nominated and appears in the listing below, there is no need to re-nominate that driver during the nomination period. We would ask that you keep it to one nomination per person/IP address.

Keep in mind as well, the nomination does not have to be performance driven (we have our TCM Power Performer of the Year for that) but can be for a driver who may be a fan favorite, or is a helpful hand in the pit area, a true sportsman to other competitors on track, etc. This is your award fans – fan nominated, fan voted – we want to know who your favorite is!

***Note: Any car or driver nominated for any TCM Award must have attempted at least three races on Atlantic Canadian soil through the racing season.

Congratulations to all of those drivers nominated and good luck in the voting rounds!
