660 Street Stockers go 75 laps on Saturday Night!

If you like old school racing Speedway 660 is the place to be this Saturday night. The DMR Auto Sales & Service Street Stock 75 highlights action in the Geary Woods, beginning at 6:30PM. There will also be action in three other weekly racing divisions.
“We love running 75 laps instead of our regular 30, but those extra laps will put a lot of pressure on our cars and drivers but it’s going to a lot of fun and we can’t wait to go racing Saturday night” said Destiny Enkel, winner of her first-ever street stock feature earlier this season. “So far this season fans have seen the Martins Home Heating Sportsman 125, the Best of the Best Pro Stock 150 and the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour, so now it’s our turn to take center stage and put on a great show when we run our 75 lapper.”
Enkel is not the only young lady that is lighting up the street stock division at Speedway 660. Courtney O’Blenis has won three features so far this season and has a chance to become the first lady to ever win a championship at Speedway 660.
“Street stocks are not easy to drive because they slide around a bit and challenge drivers to really stay focused, especially in tight traffic through the turns” said O’Blenis. “There are a lot of veterans, who have years of experience in these cars, and they all want to win just as much as us younger drivers do, so this weekend fans are going to see a heck of a race.”
There will also be action in the Re/Max Group Four Realty Pro Stock, Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman and Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooter divisions. It’s guaranteed to be another great evening of racing at Speedway 660.
Ticket prices for Saturday’s event are $14; Youth tickets, for kids between 13 and 15, are $10 and; Family Passes for two adults and two youths are $38. Admission is always free for fans seven and under.

Coming up on Saturday, July 16th, the Capital City Auto Parts ENDURO 200 will run it’s only night race of the season. Then on Saturday, July 23rd it’s the Clark Chevrolet Firecracker 150, one of the biggest sportsman races of the season.
Speedway 660 is one of Canada’s premier stock car racing facilities. Located in New Brunswick’s Fredericton region, it attracts race teams and fans from the Maritimes, New England and Quebec. The Speedway 660 racing season runs from mid May until Labour Day Weekend. SpeedWeekend, one of the most prestigious short track events in eastern North America, always wraps up Speedway 660’s racing season.
