Speedway 660 Calling All Bandolero Teams to Confirm Interest for Speedweekend “Bandolero Blast”

Speedway 660 in Geary, New Brunswick is entertaining the idea of a Bandolero feature as a part of their Speedweekend event in September. The race would be held on Sunday, September 4th on the undercard of the 17th Annual Pro Stock 250. The Bandolero drivers would get a 25-lap feature along with a 10-lap heat race to set the field for the main event.
The track had dropped the class from the Weekly Point Racing program because of a low number of cars on a weekly basis at the track.
The track would need to confirm at least ten teams to put this race on the Speedweekend card. With early interest from Newfoundland and with teams now based on Prince Edward Island, this could be the first true Atlantic Canadian field of Bandoleros with entries representing all four provinces. Not to mention, the division would have a big crowd to race in front of prior to the Pro Stock 250.
As a note, no other Bandolero races are scheduled for that weekend. Scotia Speedworld has their Bandolero class off that Friday night, Petty Raceway is off as is Eastbound Park and there are no special events for the class in the region. Simply put, this will be the only show in town on the weekend and will be a part of one of the biggest stock car weekends in Eastern Canada for 2016.
The champion’s list of the Bandolero feature on Speedweekend is a Who’s Who of racing royalty in the region that includes Emily Meehan (2010), Cole Boudreau (2011, 2012), Drew Greenlaw (2013 – two Speedweekend features), Cole Tanner (2013 – two Speedweekend features), Cory Hall (2014) and Ashton Tucker (2015).
Bandolero teams that are wanting to race on Speedweekend on the September 4th card can confirm their interest by emailing Brent Roy of Speedway 660 at brent.roy26@outlook.com.
Let’s pack the field on Speedweekend!
