OYSTER BED BRIDGE: This Sunday at 2 pm Oyster Bed Speedway will be back turning laps for their third race card of the season. The Father’s Day event will feature the first round of the Street Stock Super series with a 50 lap feature.

After scoring both feature wins so far this season along with a heat win, Kenny Snow will be heading into the first extended feature of the season as the favorite to win. Snow so far this season has only finished outside the top three once giving him the early overall points lead. Snow took over driving duties from his son Brandon for the first part of the season while Brandon recovers from an off season ATV accident.

Defending Division Champion and Super Series Champion, Colton Ford had a setback on the opening weekend after blowing his engine in the feature after capturing a heat win earlier in the day. Ford bounced back on the second race card of the season with another heat win and will certainly be a contender for the longest race of the season so far.

Veteran Jamie Stewart has a car that could contend for the feature win. His car has run well in the features finishing second and third in the two already ran this season. Stewart heads into the weekend the winner of one heat race and sits second in points.

Troy Burke has been strong so far early in the season. Burke finds himself third in points and has only finished out of the top three once this season. With a pair of heat wins to his credit and a second place finish in the last feature one can expect he will also challenge for the win.

With one of the highest Street Stock counts in the Maritime’s it will be tough for any driver to come home with the Checkered Flag.

Jason MacCallum leads the Late Model division in points after recording both feature wins of the year so far. After a pair of wins in the second weekend defending Champion Matt Palmer was able to jump up the leader-board, vaulting him into second in points.

The Father Son duo of Kendall and Coady Palmer have so far dominated the Outlaw division. The pair between them have recorded victories in five of the six races they started so far this season and sit first and second in points.

Mitchell Montgomery leads the Mini-Stock Division in points on the strength of two feature wins.

The racing gets underway at 2 pm, on Father’s Day Sunday at Oyster Bed Speedway.
