Josh Collins to Miss NASCAR Pinty’s Series Opener at CTMP
Josh Collins, driver of the No. 25 Canada’s Best Racing Team has announced that he will not race in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series Clarington 200 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park this Sunday and will do a last minute driver change with Joey McColm.
During the NASCAR pre-race medical, Collins discovered that further medical tests would be needed before given the green light. Collins has been working with doctors and medical professionals throughout the week in hope to start the season. Unfortunately, Collins will stand down till all tests have been completed.
Collins a native of Placentia, NL and a veteran racer at Eastbound International Speedway was the first Newfoundland & Labradorian to compete in a NASCAR touring series. Collins is excited about the next phase in his racing career and once clearance is given he is dedicated to getting back in the saddle of the #25 CBRT Race car for the 2016 NASCAR Pinty’s Series.
