On Saturday the music starts at Noon with more original Rock and Hard Rock bands including Tri City Villains, Black City Avenger, Andre Pettipas and the Giants, Rosewood Annie, Kilmore, Last Kick, Alert the Medic, The Royal North and Quebec’s Black Swan Theory. Headlining the Festival this year is US based The Led Zeppelin Experience who, according to Paul McCartney’s Executive Producer are one of the worlds best legacy rock bands.
The Led Zeppelin Experience recreates the British Supergroup’s concert performances in the most authentic and spellbinding two and half hour music, multimedia and light show tribute to Led Zeppelin. The band replicates the 1968 BBC TV performance of early Led Zeppelin with 2 sets before moving on to the bands famous “The Song remains the same” set. Other highlights are the bands acoustic diversion featuring “Bron-Y-Aur-Stomp”, “Going to California” and “That’s the Way” as well as an epic half hour jam of “Dazed and Confused”. Finally, the band closes with a set including “Stairway to Heaven”. The Led Zeppelin Experience is called “a must-see” for diehard Zeppelin fans as well as for those who missed out or were too young to see a live Led Zeppelin show when the band was playing together and rewriting the book on what could be done in a rock concert. The show “faithfully re-creates what it must have been like to attend a Zeppelin concert in those days” according to Doug Fox of the Provost Daily Herald.
